My first notes...

... rang out on a December 25th afternoon at the city hospital of Hanau am Main, Germany. I started learning my first instruments as a child in elementary school: the recorder, the melodica, and my great love for
many years, the electronic organ. For eight years, my e-organ and I gave concerts in and around my hometown, mostly classical and folk music.

After elementary school, I went to a high school for the performing arts, where I focused on music. With the help of a host of talented teachers,
I became versed in the works and musical styles of composers from
every epoch. My secondary subject was the school choir. It was
affiliated with a local orchestra, and together we had great success performing in Hanau and its sister cities, like Dartford, England,
where we gave a concert at the Orchard Theatre.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been attracted to country,
folk and folk rock music, especially the stuff from the 60s to the
80s, and today it’s the crux of my career. After high school, I took professional singing lessons, first focused on classical music
and later turning to pop rock. I also began to pick up the guitar.
Nowadays I write my own songs, most of them in the area of
American country music.

After studio productions with a number of interesting groups
and projects, I decided to lay down my own tracks in late 2008 and early 2009. The disc is called “Back in the Bar” and in 2009 it took third place for Best Country Album in the German Rock and Pop Awards. I was personally recognized as Best Female Country Singer of 2009 for my vocals. I’ve been working on my new album, “Made in June”, since June 2010. It’ll be a multifaceted look at country music, from poppy ballads to Tex-Mex and rock. It’s been a blast making another album of my own so far, and I'm looking forward to working on it further.

2010 and 2011 were huge years: The first songs in my new, as-yet-unfinished album, "Made in June", swept the German Rock and Pop Awards, taking home six prizes in 2010 and nine prizes in 2011 (scroll down a bit to see the individual categories). In August 2011 I became a half finalist at the First European Country Masters taken place in Teutschenthal/ Sachsen- Anhalt/ Germany).

I can often be seen live with my trio, Danny’s little Tennessee, or my band, Danny June’s Trail, at country and line dancing events. I’m also frequently on the road with my folk rock combo, J.U.N.E. - Acoustic Music, and as a guest singer in various Top 40, country/oldies and jazz groups. In between, I always find pleasure in some musical theater and classical music. These two styles are common requests when I sing at weddings and other ceremonies. You'll occasionally find me with a pianist and piano bar music at smaller events or with our Latin project "Baila con Ritmo" anywhere that people love to dance. One thing’s sure: it won’t be boring. I simply love my job; it’s more of a vocation, really, and I’ve been practicing it for more than 10 years.

Music was my first love – and it will be my last.
Music all the future – and music all the past.
(John Miles – how right he is!)
